Speaker Bio:
Anthony has worked in the manufacturing and consumer goods industries for 10 years, specializing in business development and sales management. His focus was high-end kitchen and plumbing appliances, collaborating with a variety of trade partners, including designers, architects, developers and house builders; covering projects from high-end residential to large scale commercial.

He feels fortunate to have witnessed and been involved in the development, and significant progression of the exciting industry, which is drinking water systems. As National Sales Manager in the UK, for a European company in this field, he helped expand the market and educate retailers and consumers about the benefits of these systems, in their homes and workplaces.

Since moving to Southern California in December 2017, Anthony has worked with a leading luxury kitchen appliance manufacturer, supporting a national retailer and trade professionals.

There are many different types of window treatments that can be installed in residential and commercial projects – including those used outside a structure. This course provides an introduction to these various types of products, the considerations (and client benefits) when automating shades and window treatments, and how to build your team of professionals when implementing this type of technology into your project.

Learning Objectives:

  •  Identify various types of interior and exterior window treatments
  • Define differences between motorized and automated window treatments
  • Analyze the “why” of automating window treatments
  • Discuss how to engage a team of professionals in the design and build process

About the Speaker:

Colleen brings to the discussion over 25 years of experience in the window fashion industry. Over the decades, she has seen many innovations in window covering solutions and has educated countless about the ever-evolving technology behind window covering motorization and automation.

In her role as the Director of Business Development for Hermary’s LLC, she is able engage in her passion for creating opportunities to positively impact people’s familiarity of the topics focused around the integration of window coverings into smart home technology. Thus, controlling both natural and artificial lighting in both residential and commercial applications, for optimal design aesthetic and occupant comfort.

As a woman in the technology industry, she is pleased to be able to play a role in the future growth and opportunity for others to benefit from her experience and knowledge, by combining window coverings and smart home technology into one solution.
