Barbra Bright
Barbra Bright believes great design does more than transform spaces—it enhances daily life. She is an award-winning interior designer known for creating beautiful, thoughtful spaces designed for living.
In 2018, she opened her San Rafael studio, transforming an outdated storefront into a welcoming, home-like showroom that reflects her distinctive aesthetic and belief in the power of design to improve everyday life. Her work has been featured in the 2020 San Francisco Decorator Showcase (Azure Bathroom), selected for Architectural Digest’s Pro Directory, and honored with third-place wins in both kitchen and bath categories at the 2024 Golden Gate Design Awards.
Barbra also gives back to her local community by offering pro bono design services to neighboring small businesses. She has run her own design business for over 15 years, built a thriving studio from the ground up, and developed strong relationships within the design community.
A collaborator, connector, and passionate advocate for design, Barbra is running for President of NKBA’s Northern California chapter to strengthen member connections, expand opportunities for learning and growth, and ensure the chapter is a truly welcoming and inclusive place.
Keith Quiggins
In a few words, please introduce yourself.
I’ve been passionate about building and designing for as long as I can remember. At 15, I designed my first bathroom, complete with a custom vanity that I collaborated on with a cabinet maker to bring my teenage vision to life. I went on to earn a BFA in Industrial Design, focusing on interiors, furniture, and products, and have been working in the kitchen and bath industry since 1996. In 2020, I joined forces with 19 fellow business owners to create the Menlo Park Design District, a project that took 18 months of collaboration, branding, and website development to promote the area. We officially launched in 2022, and I recently completed a three-year term as the district’s inaugural president.
What is your history with the NKBA and have you served with the chapter before?
Over the years, every showroom I’ve worked for has proudly been a member of the NKBA. When I launched my own business 12 years ago, I joined as well, staying active for several years. After a brief break, I’ve returned —bringing decades of industry experience, a fresh perspective, and a renewed commitment to our shared goals.
What relevant life experience can you bring to this position?
30 years in K&B as a designer and business owner. I have always been collaborative when working with others and mentoring new designers to the industry.
What do you hope to accomplish in this position?
I’m passionate about encouraging our members to step up their involvement in mentoring and offering internships. Many students at local design schools struggle to secure the internships their programs require, creating a gap between education and real-world experience. By opening our doors and sharing our expertise, we can help train the next generation of kitchen and bath designers—especially as fewer new designers are entering the industry. Together, we have the opportunity to shape the future of our field and keep our industry vibrant and innovative.

In a few words, please introduce yourself
I’m William Adams—Principal of William Adams Design, an interior design & architecture firm based in Oakland, California. I’ve worked in the kitchen and bath industry for over two decades and specialize in thoughtful, elevated residential design that focuses on preserving the integrity of the architecture of homes.
What is your history with the NKBA and have you served with the chapter before?
I’ve been an NKBA member for several years, and this year I was honored to receive a National NKBA Design Award for a kitchen project that was deeply personal and professionally meaningful. While I haven’t yet served in a chapter leadership role, I’ve been a consistent supporter of the NKBA’s mission and events, and I’m excited for the opportunity to step into a more active role.
What relevant life experience can you bring to this position?
Design is in my blood—I’m a third-generation builder and designer, continuing the legacy started by my grandfather and great-grandfather. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve completed over 500 remodels and led countless vendor and client collaborations, which has taught me how to manage complex projects, build strong relationships, and keep people engaged. I also run a successful business, so I know the importance of organization, communication, and delivering results—all skills I’d bring to this role.
What do you hope to accomplish in this position?
As Program Director, I hope to create dynamic, inclusive, and inspiring events that celebrate the richness and diversity of our local design community. I want to bring more designers, students, and industry partners into the fold and help foster meaningful connections that support professional growth and creativity. My goal is to make our programming not just educational—but also energizing and memorable.
